Abstract
The authors present an outline of the optical communication experiment plan between ETS-VI (Engineering Test Satellite VI) and earth stations. A laser communication equipment payload is under development. An optical facility with a 1.5-m-diameter telescope system is used for the fixed ground station. In this communication experiment, dual optical communication will be established, and fundamental optical communication experiments will be conducted, including optical beam pointing/tracking, data transmission, spacecraft attitude precise determination, and laser beam propagation in the atmosphere
