Abstract
Based on commercial CFD software Fluent, the flow field in a turbulent contact absorber (TCA) is simulated under the condition of no fillers and the simulation precision with different mesh interval sizes, k-epsiv models and boundary conditions is investigated respectively. By comparing the numerical results of air flow with experimental data, the simulation accuracy reaches highest at the condition of 5 mm mesh interval size with Mean error of 12.45% and the Maximum error of 16.12%, standard k-epsiv model or Realizable k-epsiv model and the boundary condition with velocity-inlet and pressure-outlet.
