Abstract
This paper presents a novel Doppler frequency extraction method based on radar signal and a range and speed estimation method of moving target based on the extracted Doppler frequency. The Doppler frequency of a moving target represents the moving characteristics of the target, the dechirp technique and FFT is combined to estimate the Doppler frequency from the non-stationary radar signal, then non-linear least square optimization method is used to estimate the range and speed of the target. The experimental results show the efficiency of the proposed method.
