Abstract
In order to verify the feasibility of bypass graft treatment for DeBakey III aortic dissection, numerical simulation using computational fluid dynamics method was performed to compare the hemodynamics of non-bypassed and bypassed DeBakey III aortic dissection. The numerical results demonstrated that the flow activity and pressure in the false lumen decreased after the implantation of bypass graft, which is profitable for the alleviation of dissection propagation, and the promotion of dissection exclusion. Thus, bypass graft can be an alternative for the surgical therapy of DeBakey III aortic dissection.
