Abstract
The speech source locating technology using orthocenter locating algorithm has been researched and a far-field signal model based on microphone array is obtained. As the single cross-array is too small to estimate the position, it´s only used to detection bearings. So a new locating algorithm is presented in this paper. It is the first time to use this locating algorithm in practical speech source locating system. In this paper, three cross-arrays are used to form a triangle-array which is in big size. Cross-array is the sub-array, and triangle-array is the main-array. To each cross-array, we use the modified MUSIC (multiple signal classification) algorithm to estimate DOA (direction of arrival). This algorithm utilizes two dimensional searching for spectrum peak to get the plane angle and the polar angle. With the bearing results of sub-arrays, main-array confirms a point in the triangle enclosed by locating lines as the target position. The point is the orthocenter of the enclosed triangle. The results of the simulation prove that this algorithm can restrain noise, and improve the performance of the speech source locating system.
