  • Abstract
A new multi-lead arrhythmia algorithm has been developed for use in real-time monitoring. The new algorithm can process simultaneously up to two channels of ECG signals for detecting changes in the ECG rhythm and generating alarms. The new algorithm was validated extensively using both publicly available and proprietary databases. For the 78 non-paced AHA patients, the PVC detection sensitivity, positive predictivity, and false positive rate for the latest algorithm revision are 97.24%, 98.53% and 0.15%, respectively. For the 44 nonpaced MIT-BIH patients, the corresponding values are 94.39%, 97.09%, and 0.21%
