Abstract
To remove tachometers in induction motor speed control, sophisticated signal processing techniques are typically used. Goertzel´s algorithm is a simple technique that has not seen much discussion with respect to speed detection. The algorithm is discussed and applied to induction motor speed detection. Experimental results show the algorithm can accurately be applied to speed detection
