Abstract
This paper proposes a new synchronization method for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy chaotic systems via receding horizon control. A matrix inequality condition on the terminal weighting matrix is proposed for T-S fuzzy chaotic systems under which nonincreasing monotonicity of the optimal cost is guaranteed. It is shown that the proposed terminal inequality condition guarantees the closed-loop stability of the fuzzy receding horizon synchronization (FRHS) method for chaotic systems. As an application of the proposed method, the FRHS problem for the Lorenz system is investigated.
