  • Abstract
It is based on the calculating results of the flow field of the Kuncheng Lake to simulate the diffusion of the chemical oxygen demand (COD) in the lake. And utilize the observed data and the calculating results of the water quality concentration field of the lake to achieve the water environmental capacity in the dry season. From the results, it is shown that the velocity of the lake is small and the direction is from the northwest to the southeast as the topographic form is the northwest higher than the southeast. Both the observed and the computed results of the COD concentration show that they are smaller than the standard limit value of COD emission concentration. The results will provide the advice to improve the water environmental quality of the lake in Changshu City, the ecological regime and scientific management of the lake.
