Abstract
The extractive of wood chips of papermaking consumes many bleaching agents and adhesives, which have serious influences on the wood-based paper quality and increase more difficulties on the treatment of both wastewater and black-liquid for wood industry and paper mill. Therefore, wastewater from chip pretreatment increasingly becomes a difficult and urgent issue. In order to better recover and utilize the pretreatment wastewater of Eucalyptus tereticornis wood chips and hence decrease its pollution to water environment, the chemical components of cold water extractive of E. tereticornis wood chips was analyzed by GC/MS after enriched and dissolved in benzene-methanol. Relative content of each component was determined by area normalization, and 30 compounds representing 99.38 % of the cold water extractive were identified. The analytical result showed that the main components of cold water extractive of E. tereticornis wood chips by GC/MS analysis were cycloprop[e] and cyclopropa[a] series components, eucalyptol, naphthalene series components, ethanol series components, phenol series components, heptadecane series components, and other bioactive constituents. The results of function analyses suggested that most chemical components of cold water extractive of E. tereticornis wood chips can be developed into top value-added materials of biomedicine, cosmetic, food, solvent and bioactive chemical industry.
