Abstract
The identification of pixels that belong to a 3-D region of interest is discussed. The error function and spatial constraint, which a pixel must satisfy to be included in a region of interest, are discussed. The region grows outward in 3-D space from an initial pixel known to be within the region. Satisfaction of the multi-intensity error function and the spatial constraint is reported to result in a robust algorithm that uniquely identifies regions of interest
