  • Abstract
    In this paper, we discuss deployment challenges for reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexers (ROADMs). After an overview of the architecture, we discuss the issues we have experienced in the course of our deployments. We end with recommendations for those planning to deploy ROADM in the future.
