Abstract
A stripline-fed slot has been employed as an element of a low-sidelobe-level linear phased array. The exterior surface of the array is covered by a protective dielectric slab, which considerably alters the characteristics of the elements and affects mutual coupling. The design of this array is based on a modification of R.S. Elliott´s design procedure and takes into account the effect of the cover on the performance of the isolated slots and their electromagnetic interactions.<>
