Abstract
In this paper, we propose the combination of 8-PAM modulation, pre-emphasis and adaptive equalization to overcome 1mm-SI-POF bandwidth limitations in optical short reach links. An error-free transmission at 100Mbit/s over 200 m SI-POF is experimentally demonstrated.
