Abstract
DECOR, a configurable design flow management component for online monitoring and control of concurrent design processes, is presented. It also allows automatic activation of design actions. Since it is tightly integrated into a framework like a usual design tool, its approach is also applicable for other frameworks. DECOR allows control of encapsulated tools as well as tools that are tightly integrated into the framework. Manipulations of data objects with arbitrary granularity from files or directories down to single structures can be considered. DECOR relies on a formal model for the specification of design process behavior. This is especially important for environment openness.<>
