Abstract
The Multi-stage Organic Water Filter system is a sustainable, robust and modular system for purifying water containing organic and bio degradable pollutants. This system offers an efficient and cost effective solution which can be integrated into the current process of water purification or as a separate water purification process all together. The system consists of multiple stages of filtration beds consisting of plants ideal for treating the water flowing through them. The primary bio-pollutants in water are food residue, animal wastes, cooking wastes etc. The following paper describes a system of water filtration which combines some features from Root Zone Technology (RZT) for treatment of sewage water along with improvements addressing other voids in RZT.
