Abstract
This paper presents a detailed description about the formation, the principle of a computer network for precision measurement and new ideas of applying computer network theory to a mechanical precision measurement system. In this network, monolithic computer technology and computer network theory are applied in the field of precision measurement. By using this network, one IBM PC computer together with eight cheap monolithic computer data sampling subsystems and a monolithic computer communication controller can computerize and integrate the measurements of eight different work sites; thus increasing the cost performance of the computerized measurement system greatly
