Plenary talk — Second generation HTS wires and applications — AMSC wire updated

AMSC specializes in the manufacture of 2G HTS wires branded Amperium and development of HTS applications such as rotating machines, FCL and electric cables, etc. This presentation first briefly introduce Amperium wire products range, performance, and highlight development of higher I_c wire with robust mechanical performance, NMS substrate to reduce AC loss, improving flux pinning technology to increase I_c in magnetic field, and especially introduce the solder fillets design for enhanced delamination strength, meanwhile, it also introduce the wire reliability testing and results.
