  • Abstract
    A parameter space design method of the fault-tolerant control systems for large flexible space structures (LFSS) is developed. According to the desired performance requirements, the suggested method can give a region KΓS in the designed parameter space, and when the feedback matrix KνKΓS, the closed-loop system is not only of the expected dynamic behaviour, but also stable if one of the sensors in the system is failed. The suggested method can offer a theoretical direction for the hardware redundant disposition of the LFSS system through evaluating the effects of the failed sensors on the performance of the closed-loop system. A two-panel planar configuration is taken as a example in this paper, and the simulation results show that the closed-loop system is stable when one of the sensors is failed
