Abstract
This paper concerns the optimization of rotational eddy current couplers, by using a genetic multiobjective optimization procedure. The analysis of device performances has been done by an analytical formulation of the magneto-dynamic problem. The optimization has been carried out by considering both the torque and the weight of the device. Some details about analysis method and optimization algorithm are given together with a discussion of results in some industrial configurations.
