Abstract
Object reverse design from volume datasets has been developed from the medical field to the industrial manufacture. But the industrial products have complex inner structure and are hard to foresee from experience, so the product´s structure reconstruction has become one of the bottle-neck that restrict the volume datasets application from wide spread in industrial field. This paper introduces the network technology into the visualization research of volume datasets. Under the Internet environment, we utilize VRML as the expression and transfer carrier of the volume datasets and adopt the texture mapping method to realize the datasets direct visualization. This kind of visualization in the network can collect multi users´ knowledge, realize collaborative work and acquire more accurate topological structures.
