  • Abstract
Voltage references are essential components of analog VLSI circuits. A reference source is expected to remain constant against temperature and supply voltage fluctuations. First order bandgap voltage references show variation in terms of ´mV against temperature, which may not be adequate for some high precision applications. Curvature corrected bandgap reference(BGR) is an attempt to improve stability of reference voltage by cancelling the higher order components of diode drop. A 1.1V curvature corrected bandgap reference is presented showing temperature coefficient(TC) of 0.55ppm((100uV difference from maximum to minimum) over temperature range from - 40 to 125°C. This bandgap reference is implemented using standard CMOS 180nm (UMC180) technology using CADENCE tool.
