Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present some problems concerning transient phenomena related to linear antennas. The paper presents an analysis of these phenomena directly in the time domain. The algorithm of numerical solutions of equations describing currents in wires is discussed. The differential operators of these equations are represented by difference formulae. In the solution of equations describing currents in wires the thin-wire approximation is used. The algorithm of numerical solutions is adapted to the analysis of the behaviour of the antenna subject to turn-on and turn-off of the excitation which is sinusoidal in time
