Abstract
A numerical integration approach called the modified central difference (MCD) method is presented for the transient analysis of uniformly and nonuniformly coupled dispersionless transmission lines. It is shown that the transient phenomena on the primary and secondary lines can be obtained by solving the coupled transmission line equations in the time domain only. For the case in which the input port of the coupled lines with voltage source is excited by several waveforms, simulation results based on the numerical analysis are shown
