  • Abstract
An electronic paging system which is used to assist teachers of hearing impaired students in a classroom setting is described. The system can be used by a teacher to alert a student that his or her attention should be diverted to another part of the classroom, be it toward the teacher, the blackboard, or some other location. The electronic paging system is a modified version of an electromagnetic loop system. The primary elements of the transmitter are a telephone keypad, tone generation chip and power amplifier. The primary elements of the receiver are two bandpass filters, an AND gate and a DC motor which serves as the vibrating element
