  • Abstract
    The accurate analytical formula of the electric field produced by single circuit power lines in horizontal conductor arrangement is derived in the current paper. This formula can be used for the assessment of the public exposure since it allows the direct calculation of the electric field and it also shows the fieldpsilas dependencies on all the relevant line parameters. For the derivation of the accurate formula, a previously proposed method is applied. This method is based on the use of double complex numbers for the representation of the electric field vector and the symmetrical components analysis for the asymmetrical conductor charges. The accurate formula allows the precise calculation of the electric field at any point in the vicinity of these lines, close to or far from them.
