  • Abstract
    In this paper, the time delay robustness for linear control systems using state feedback is discussed by analyzing the sensitivity of its eigenvalues with respect to time delay. Meanwhile, a new robustness measure is presented which can be applied to robust partial pole assignment problem(RPPAP) in control system design. The problem RPPAP can be formulated as an unconstrained minimization problem with the cost function involving the new robustness measure. A numerical algorithm with analytical formulation of the gradient for the cost function is provided. A numerical example is included to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
