Abstract
UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) applications development projects are complex due to the high level of details involved in the development stages and the different components that must be integrated within the same project. This paper discusses the role of knowledge management (KM) in reducing the risks in applications development projects based on current approaches in similar environments. This paper addresses at the beginning the challenges that faces UAV applications development. Then, the paper elaborates on the role of knowledge management in UAV application development and other similar environments with focusing on current approach. In addition, the paper illustrates a proposed knowledge management framework to reduce the risks in UAV applications development projects.
