  • Abstract
    Next generation of communication satellites increase their power capacity up to 25kW. Therefore new high power modules have to be designed. To utilize more efficiently the solar arrays and batteries, higher bus voltage has been introduced. In this paper we present an overall design and experimental results of a high-efficiency non-isolated 5kW Weinberg converter with conductance control working as a battery discharge regulator module. To increase the reliability of active switches, one loss-less passive turn-off snubber has been tested
