Some thoughts on a necessary step to smart dispatching — logical dispatching

Building smart dispatching of power grid is inevitably a trend of the development of power grid in today´s China. In this paper a necessary stage to smart dispatching - logical dispatching - is proposed, including its working mechanisms and scaffoldings. Based on theoretical and field research, the paper first summarizes the status quo of the power grid in today´s China, and then develops the corresponding ideas of logical dispatching. On the basis of four supportive systems i.e. intelligent data center, intelligent supervision center, intelligent control center, and intelligent management center, operation schedules, real-time operation and operation evaluation will be realized automatically and intelligently in logical dispatching. It is finally argued that with the development of logical dispatching, smart dispatching will come into being.
