Abstract
How to minimize the network redundancy and prolong network life are important problems while designing a coordinated multi-sensors coverage system. By adopting stochastic sensing model for each sensor node, this paper founds an optimization model for coordinated multi-sensors coverage problem. Then an improved genetic algorithm based on parallelism selection is presented. The simulation results show that the algorithm can effectively minimize network redundancy and prolong network life.
