  • Abstract
    The karst Area of Southwest China is rich in water resources, but is short of land resources relatively. Because of the special frailty of karst multi-media environment and the effects of human activities, flood and drought, soil erosion, desertification, collapse and other disasters take place most easily in karst area. Through analyzing the functions and characteristics of the karst multi-media environment, this paper proposes the development and utilization modes of karst subterranean river system in southwest China, combined with the characteristics of flood and drought disasters in karst area.
