  • Abstract
A membrane bioreactors (MBR) was added the photocatalyst TiO2 which was immobilized on polyurethane foam (PF) cubes to make a photodegradation MBR (pMBR). The performance of the pMBR was studied by evaluating the effects of different factors, such as nitrobenzene, COD and BOD5 concentration, carrier dosage and its microorganisms. The result showed that the photocatalytic oxidation in MBR was playing a main role in removing the pollutions and the COD, BOD5 and nitrobenzene removal efficiency was high to 90%, 85% and 95% in pMBR, respectively. The monitoring result indicated that the effluent quality of the pMBR reached the 1st grade of the GB 8978-1996 standard.
