Abstract
One of the key components in a powertrain transmission for real-time control is the clutch. However, this part is often glossed over as certain convolutions arise due to its nonlinear behavior. In this paper, the impact of the clutch model is considered for simulation in series-parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) with application to heavy-duty military vehicle. This modeling is conducted with the assistance of Energetic Macroscopic Representation (EMR) and implemented into MATLAB-Simulink®.
