Abstract
A practical convergence law for least-mean-square weights is derived. In adaptive cancellers, a steady-state performance can be obtained such that when the signal and noise are statistically independent, the noise can be nulled without any loss of the signal. The signal cancellation phenomenon in adaptive cancellers can be explained easily by the derived convergence law
