  • Abstract
Resource limited ZigBee devices are vulnerable to unexpected error environments. Even though ZigBee standard provides a simple self-configuration and self-healing mechanism, they require a long time delay to be recovered and make it difficult to maintain the connectivity of all devices in the network. In this paper, to establish robust ZigBee networks, ESC (enhanced self-configuration) scheme is proposed. The ESC is capable of dynamic reconfiguration of the tree, as well as fast recovery, avoiding orphan propagation problem.
