  • Abstract
A deconvolution algorithm based on the generalized conjugate gradient method and modified iteration termination condition was proposed to determine the impulse response of the target in the time domain. The improved iteration termination condition utilized the characteristics of conjugate gradient method and the target impulse response. Using the transient waveforms calculated by the finite integration time domain method, the proposed algorithm was applied to determine the impulse response of a conducting sphere. The good agreement between the estimated and theoretical impulse responses shows that the generalized conjugate gradient method with modified iteration condition is an efficient method for inverting the impulse response of the target.
