Abstract
The aim of the present paper is to propose an improvement on the Nakagami-m complex signal model as initially given elsewhere in the literature. By introducing what here is named a phase parameter a more flexible and realistic framework is obtained. Although with an additional parameter, the formulations are found in simple, closed-form expressions. With a further physically-based consideration, with the aim of simplifying the formulations, the phase parameter is found as a function of the fading parameter and the expressions are obtained in an even simpler.
