  • Abstract
We have established a transportation technique of kinesin-coated beads to the designated direction on a polarly oriented microtubule in a PDMS-glass nanochannel. A single filament of microtubule was oriented in a nanoscale channel by gliding assay on the kinesin-coated channel surface. After introducing the microtubule, it was immobilized by inactivating kinesin by light exposure. Beads coated with active kinesin were successfully transported unidirectionally on the microtubule from one end of the channel to the other.
