Abstract
Due to the development of mining industry, there have been many mining subsidence areas in Yanzhou. Waters around these areas have been converged in the subsidence basin, causing serious problems of water pollution and water quality deterioration. By using Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) and Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+)data, this paper is mainly about waters spatial distribution changes and potential pollution levels of Yanzhou mining area in the recently 10 years. By extracting the waters of Yanzhou mining area through supervised classification method and the reflectivity threshold, this paper has found out the spatial dynamic changes of waters in recent 10 years in this area. According to the spatial distribution of waters in Yanzhou mining area in 2009, we have chosen some factors that affect the waters quality to evaluate potential pollution levels through weighted score calculation.
