  • Abstract
Summary form only given. The investigation of new surface-wave structures for slow wave antennas, especially for strip antennas, becomes one of the demands for the development of antenna techniques in microwave bands. Up to now, surface wave corrugated structures are widely used in antenna engineering. These structures carry the surface waves of TM modes well. However, these structures are not comfortable in some cases because of their bulkiness and heaviness. This paper deals with the construction of structures, which may be able to carry surface waves, and which are light and suitable for constructing strip antennas. One of the methods of formation of surface wave structures of TE modes is considered. This method is carried out on the principle of interchange in electromagnetic fields.
