  • Abstract
This paper proposes two types of RAKE receivers in DS-CDMA mobile radio communication systems. One is the pilot-aided RAKE for forward link and another is the adaptive RAKE for reverse link with no pilot signal. We derive the analytical equations to indicate the performance of each RAKE receiver. By using analytical equations and computer simulation, the performances of the proposed RAKEs are evaluated under fast fading environment in comparison with the ideal coherent detection and the differential detection. As a results, it is found that the both RAKEs realize the performances almost close to the ideal coherent detection
