Abstract
A high-speed PIV system is presented using a diode-pumped Nd-YAG-laser at 532 ran operating at a frequency between 1 and 100 kHz.. Images are taken with a high-resolution high-speed CCD-camera capable of recording 4 images of 1280 × 1024 pixel at a frame-rate of up to 1 MHz. The system was used to compute either three vector fields at equal time intervals or two vector fields at arbitrary times which can be used for acceleration measurements as well as space-time correlation. Results from an experiment in turbulent air are presented
