Abstract
One of the future multimedia applications proposed for future generations of wireless systems is mobile videoconferencing. Users may expect such an application to have privacy protection and be secure from attacks. However, the current security solutions are not readily applicable in this context. This paper investigates the limitations of mobile devices and the requirements of such a secure videoconferencing application in an integrated wireless and wired network environment. It then proceeds to study the related work and examine how the work can be improved so that the resultant system meets these requirements while the performance degradation can be kept to a minimum.
