Abstract
We have developed large, monolithic CZT detectors for hard x-ray imaging applications. Detectors measure 32×32 mm2 and 25×25 mm2×2 mm thick. Crossed strip readout gives 0.5 mm spatial resolution. Signals are read out by four 32-input ASICs, with spectroscopic analysis performed on the anodes. Results are presented on the detectors´ spatial accuracy, spectral response, and effective area. Also presented are imaging results with the detectors employed in coded mask imagers
