Abstract
In order to develop integrated renewable energy systems, suited for off-grid sites electrification, the availability of a proper energy storage system is still one of the main issues. As traditional battery use often is far to represent a cost-effective and environment friendly solution, nowadays fuel cells could provide novel opportunities to be investigate. This paper reports on the first experimental activities required to draw the analytical models of hydrogen-based storage system components, to be integrated in a ´traditional´ IRES simulation tool, previously developed at DIEES. This work has been accomplished at IDRILAB a research laboratory specifically established to test and develop Renewable Hydrogen systems.
