Abstract
A description is given of some of the ways US AIN (advanced intelligent network) activities are supporting the CCITT IN (intelligent network) standardization effort. The author affirms the desire of the US to develop a world standard rather than a US standard. Efforts to facilitate agreement at CCITT and T1S1 arrangements for providing standards for US-specific IN options are described
