  • Abstract
In the carbon fiber producing process, the stretching process is an important section between coagulation forming process and spinning process. And the stretching process affects the strength, crystallinity and orientation of the carbon fiber. This paper develops a mathematical model about the single stretching process of carbon fiber by analyzing the elastic-plastic deformation and its relation to tension, speed and motor voltage. Simulations show the tension can track the change of speed and the relation between tension speed and voltage could accord well to the fact. It further illustrates the model is effective compared with the existing model.
