Abstract
The search for quality in higher education is one of the main objectives promoted by governments and university institutions. However, the specific application of the quality concept in classroom is far from evident. This paper shows an overview of the integration of several of the `Tools of Quality´, Making Decision tools and the Shewart cycle in two engineering technical subjects. The goal of this integration is to improve quality. The work has been developed for a five-year period. The results show an increase in the level of achievement and a sustained high satisfaction of students. The teachers involved have become more motivated in their educational research and activities. The main conclusion shows that the philosophy of quality is not an abstract concept. Its application is not difficult and becomes a tool to improve the educational work
