  • Abstract
The goal of the concept outlined in this paper is to allow an end-user to use their mobile telephone both to authenticate themselves to an arbitrary service provider and then to confirm their consent to a transaction proceeding with that service provider. This requirement to support identity for users is recognised by many industries and is being progressed co-operatively by industry and standards bodies including: Liberty Alliance Project, Radicchio (Trusted Transaction Roaming), ETSI MCOMM STF 221 (Mobile Signatures), and the Open Mobile Alliance.
